ReFa Carat Platinum Electronic Roller

Sponsored post

I believe it is almost all girls’ dream to have firmed and lifted face skin.
However, it is not easy to achieve this non surgically.
I have tried several types of roller and face lifting cream before I took the prewedding photo-shoot. Unfortunately, none of these impressed me much.
Therefore, I was kinda thrilled to be invited to ReFa CARAT Platinum Electronic Roller workshop at Ikeda Spa, which is located conveniently at Bukit TImah. I have been wanting to visit this first Japanese spa in Singapore for a long time.

I really love the Japanese style Tatami Zen area. I felt so relaxed sitting here.

So what is ReFa CARAT?

It is a double lymphatic drainage roller that provides the appearance of beautiful and firmed skin. It is developed on the concept of aesthetic kneading, strongly squeezed and work the skin, through wonderfully deep and smooth motion.
ReFa CARAT absorbs light through a solar panel and generates a weak electrical “microcurrent” that is very similar to the body’s own current.
Human skin normally has weak electrical current flowing through it to begin with. This current is thought to be one of the elements that keeps skin appearance firm, resilient and beautiful.
Daily treatment with the roller on the surface of your skin affects skin texture, making its appearance supple, shiny and firm.

These are the after treatment results.
My right eyebag is less obvious after the treatment and my jawline is slightly firmer.Image  Image

I had the opportunity to try ReFa CARAT for 2 weeks.
I used the roller every night after applying moisturizer and roll 30 times on each of the following areas: cheekbones, jawlines and under eyes.

I would say that I am pretty satisfied and amazed with this product.

What I really like about ReFa CARAT are:
– The curvy design of the roller makes is so comfortable to hold and easy to roll any parts of the face and body without any awkward or uncomfortable position.
– Platinum coating on the roller. Platinum is hypoallergenic metal and safe for all skin types. Therefore, in spite of my sensitive skin, I did not encounter any rashes, redness or itchiness.
– It helps to combat the puffiness of my eyes. My eyes look fresher right after the application.
– The easy maintenance. I only need to clean the roller with a damp cloth after the application and pat it dry with the clean cloth provided and keep it in the pouch that comes together with the roller set.

Below are the results after two weeks of treatment. It can be seen that my jawlines are more defined after the treatment and visible reduce of under eye bag puffiness.
Disclaimer: There is no photoshop work done in the pictures

Two weeks trial might be too short to show the dramatic improvement but it has convinced me that this is the product that I am soooo gonna put in the wish list for my beauty product purchase 😀
Main reason is because it helps to reduce my under eyebag, which has been my main concern for a long long time.

The price of ReFA CARAT is SGD 540 and you may purchase it from the outlets below:
– Clariancy retail outlets
– Hide & Seek (72 Bussorah Street)

Spring Cleaning

OMG. This is the longest time ever I left this space unattended.
Time to do a spring cleaning and clear the dust and spiderweb :p

I am adjusting my life as a married woman and trying hard to be a good wife.
I still find it tough to wake up early and prepare breakkie for my beloved hubby as I am not a morning person. Hahaha
Nonetheless, I think I am coping it quite well. Teehee.

I have picked up new hobbies too along the way.
Still remember when I left home for the first time for studying abroad 13 years ago, I didn’t even know how to prepare a simple meal except cooking instant noodle :p
It is until recently when I have my own kitchen and time to experiment cooking different types of dishes that I realized I have hidden talent.
So proud of myself that I am able to satisfy hubby’s tummy most of the time 🙂

I also remember how I envy my friends who can bake well.
It never occurred in my mind that I can do it too until few months back when one of my friends bought a voucher for a cupcake baking class.

I am now trying to cook and bake healthy stuff for myself and hubby whenever it is possible.
Thanks to the technology, it is so convenient to learn cooking and baking nowadays.
There are like thousands of recipes and video tutorial available in the world wide web.

Gotta go now, catching up with my girls before they are leaving for a month holiday.
I promise to update my space more often now that I have more or less settled down now.

Monday Blues

Weekend always passes so fast, especially when we have great time. My last weekend was really fun, had a lot of time catching up with besties.

Dinner with my long lost friend last Friday at Ayam Penyet President, Lucky Plaza. Unfortunately, both of us were too engrossed catching up that we totally forgot to take pictures. The food is good, will definitely go back when I crave for Indonesian food.

Celebrated my bestie’s belated birthday on Saturday at Palio, Hotel Michael. The ambiance was not that fantastic, but it was quiet and perfect for catching up.

The mushroom soup was great, we loved it so much

The left pizza is from the kid’s menu and the right pizza is Pizza Michael for the adults :p
However, the pizza was a disappointment despite of being the bestseller menu

Pici all’Aglione, this is another Palio’s signature menu. It is linguine pasta served with half Boston Lobster in spicy tomato sauce. This pasta is great, although the size of the lobster was a bit pathetic :p It looks totally different from the picture in menu.

This tiramisu is super duper yummy

Cant remember the name of this dessert, but it is chocolate flavor with almond ice cream

The three musketeers :p

Happy Mid Week

It is Wednesday already. Hang in there, weekend is coming soon.

I had real great time last weekend.
Attended Burberry beauty workshop at Tangs Orchard. I first discovered Burberry beauty product in California. I love how smart and pretty the packaging is.

Latest addition to my makeup collection 🙂

Neutrogena® Hydro Boost™ Night Concentrate

Sponsored by Cozycot

Excessive exposure to air-conditioned rooms and addiction to coffee cause dehydration of my skin.
My skin feels tight and gets irritated easily. And I started noticing that my skin has developed dry lines. By end of the day, I got shiny T-zone as a result of the excessive sebum production which helps to lock the moisture in the skin.

Therefore, I was extremely glad that I had a chance from Cozycot to review the product which is really suitable for my current skin condition, which is Neutrogena® Hydro Boost™ Night Concentrate.

NEUTROGENA® Hydro Boost™ Night Concentrate is a non-comedogenic, oil-free, alcohol-free and dermatologist-tested sleeping pack. It is specially formulated with Neutogena’s smart Progressive Release System, which actively seeks out dry skin cells to replenish moisture in them throughout the night. Contains Hyaluronic Acid, Olive Extract and Ionic Mineral Complex that work double time during the night to firm up sagging skin and reduce fine lines, allowing you to maximize your beauty rest and wake up to softer and brighter skin in the morning.

Love the texture of the product which is very light and the smell is great too but not overpowering.

It is recommended to use twice weekly. However, I use it daily because of my serious dehydrated skin condition. I have been using it for four nights in a row and I notice slight improvement of my skin. Once applied, the product spreads easily and gets fully absorbed into my skin without leaving a sticky feel. After rinsing off the next morning, it left my skin feeling soft and smooth. My T-Zone gets less oily through the day with less visible dry lines.

NEUTROGENA® Hydro Boost™ Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack is available at all leading personal stores and pharmacies at a recommended retail price of S$25.90 for a pack size of 50 gram

L’Oreal Professional INOA Expeience with Cozycot

I got a call from the representative of Cozycot last week
to receive the hair coloring service by L’Oreal Professional.
The call came just in time as it was about time for me to touch up my hair color for my wedding.

So there I was, excitedly looking forward to the hair coloring session
at Salon Vim which is located at 313 Somerset.
The seats in the salon are comfortably spaced out
so that the clients are not seating too near to each other.
I was accompanied by latest magazines, drink and my favorite Meiji biscuit
throughout the whole two and half hour process.

A very friendly and pretty senior stylist, Stephanie Yeo, was assigned to work on my hair.
She was trying to understand my hair and scalp condition and the color that I wish to have.
My hair is dry, brittle and frizzy as the result of excessive chemical treatment.
I dye my hair two to three times a year and
change hairstyle, either perming or rebonding, twice a year.
Therefore, Stephanie recommended to use L’Oreal Professional INOA Hair Color.

INOA is a combined word of Innovation No Ammonia,
which use ODS Technology (Oil Delivery System) to deliver the color.
Therefore, it provides more protection to the natural lipid of hair.
INOA has a pleasant smell and did not irritate my nose and eyes.
And most importantly, it didn’t sting nor burn my sensitive scalp, unlike the traditional hair color.
I only experienced a slight itchiness on my scalp which is quite bearable.

As for the color, I wanted to have a dark brown color.
However, Stephanie suggested that I go for dark brown with a hint of red to compliment my fair skin tone.
I hesitated for a moment, but she assured me that the color would turn out beautifully.
True enough, the color turned out perfectly and I love the smooth and glossy finishes on my hair.

It has been five days since I got my hair dyed with INOA
and there is no sign further damage on my hair.
The only downside of INOA is the oil based delivery system
which results in my scalp gets greasy easily.
Overall, I am really satisfied with the result and
will definitely stick to L’Oreal INOA for any hair coloring in the future.

Weekend Getaway

Backtrack a lil bit to the weekend getaway to KL three weeks ago.

We were there for the Jay Chou’s concert.
Stayed in Empire Hotel Subang this round.
It is a nice and cozy hotel, with a shopping mall located just next door.

Hotel entrance from the shopping mall

Like the spacious living area so much

Reached KL quite late that night, and not many choices for the dinner then.
Decided to try the Balinese cuisine at Ole Ole Bali restaurant nearby
and it turned out to be very good.

Love the ambiance and the service is really good. It is definitely worth the money.

Quick lunch at Pasta Zanmai in the Empire Shopping Gallery.
Ordered the mini set with the noodle and rice, but the portion is huge in spite of the name :p

Can’t remember the exact name, it is a kimchi ramen with oyster :p

Jay Chou’s concert at the Putra Stadium in the evening.
Had heaps of fun even though it was our second time watching it.

So glad that Lara was one of the guest performers.
Her live performance was good.
Love it when she sang the duet song, Coral Sea, with Jay Chou
and a song from her debut solo album, Hallo Lara.
